An estimated 50 million animals worldwide are killed for their fur.  This includes kittens, puppies, minks, chinchillas, raccoons, dogs, cats, linx, bobcats, rabbits and many more.  China is the greatest exporter of fur to other nations.

Most clothing sold in America has been manufactured in China.  Therefore your fur and leather must also come from China.

The Chinese wear German shepherd coats.  This is because the Chinese people eat cats and dogs.  Therefore the fur must be put to some practical use.  Although Americans find this repulsive there is no reason for criticism.  The pig is considered more intelligent than a dog or cat and yet millions of Americans consume pig flesh raised in America’s cruel factory farms.  A rat can do the same tricks as a dog yet the rat is sacrificed continually in medical research experiments many of which have no scientific merit.  Here we see the deep-rooted hypocrisy of mankind or perhaps nothing more than personal preference.

We really do not know how many animals in China or elsewhere are skinned alive.  The film clips cannot be denied nor are they staged.  These methods probably occur frequently but may not be systematic.  Some animals will have their necks broken.  Another method is to take an electrical prod and insert it into the animal’s anal canal where death is by electrocution.  Some might be drowned or bludgeoned but skinning alive keeps the fur unmarred whereby the furrier receives a higher price for the pelt.  Then again, there are the cruel steel traps that are set in the wild.  Here the animal’s leg or paw is crushed or broken by the trap’s steel teeth.  The captured animal will often chew away its own paw to the point of amputation in order to escape the trap but only to die a slow and painful death later.

Oath of God Ministries wants to make sure that all animals are ethically and humanly treated. Because the worldwide fur trade is not heavily regulated we urge consumers to boycott fur.  In China there are few standards and many unconscionable abuses.  Have you ever seen a dog or cat skinned alive.  Here, you will see a dog skinned alive and thrown in a pile with other dying bodies.  The dog or puppy is seen still looking around trying to find out what has happened to his skinless body.

Dog fur has been found on American clothing imported from China but does it really matter what animal is skinned alive?  Every animal would experience immeasurable pain.

We urge people not to purchase fur.  If you are living in Siberia there may be a stronger reason to wear a fur coat but we would still urge a humane and compassionate death of the animal.  In today’s worldwide fur trade that is probably a hopeless wish.

Boycott Fur
