Every Christian should be pro-life and every Christian should be concerned about abortion.  It grieves the Holy Spirit to see a mother kill her unborn baby.  In America approximately 3,500 unborn babies are slaughtered and killed in their mother’s womb each day.  For many Americans abortion has become the law of the land and a grave stumbling block for many men and women.  The shedding of innocent blood has brought America under God’s judgment.

God has chosen the sanctity of marriage between a man and women to be the foundation for family and God has also chosen the mother’s womb as His method of bringing forth new life. This doctrinal foundation prepares the child to be reared by two bonded and completely committed parents who have Christ Jesus as their center focus.  Please see our detailed article on Sexual Immorality in America to better understand why God requires sexual sobriety prior to marriage and why both Christian believers must be equally yoked prior to marriage.  The below video is the best source available to illustrate God’s beautiful design for human life in the womb as well as the molecular intricacy and the profoundly organized way in which the unborn baby is formed in his mother’s womb by our Heavenly Father. 

National Geographic produced the below video which beautifully illustrates the moment of conception to birth.  It is a very appropriate video for pre-teens, teens and adults to watch.  As time progresses, the medical field will continue to uncover just how profoundly beautiful God’s oversight of life is in the womb.  This is because God is Life which in turn makes God pro-life.  “As the nuclei of the ovum and sperm unite during the first hours of fertilization, they bring together twenty-three chromosomes from the mother and twenty-three chromosomes from the father.  These chromosome sets carry some 15,000 genes from each parent cell”.  Indeed this is not a random design but one in which only a Divine Creator of unfathomable intelligence could possibly arrange.  Many women convince themselves that they alone control their own bodies and that God’s design or oversight is irrelevant.  If this were true then why do women contract various diseases that assault their bodies?  If women are truly in control of their bodies they should be able to arrest sickness at the onset.  In reality no woman is really in control of her own body.   Even King David knew that he was wonderfully made by his Creator.  King David declared that his delicate frame was not hidden from God’s eyes while he was made in secret in his mother’s womb.

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.”

Psalm 139:14-16

In Luke 1:41-44 we read that Elizabeth was pregnant when she was visited by her cousin the virgin Mary who was also pregnant at the time.  Elizabeth’s own baby (who would grow up to the John the Baptist), leaped for joy in her womb at the presence of the unborn Jesus.  “And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb” (Lke 1:41-42)  “For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.”  (Lke 1:44)  Indeed their is life in the womb.  Can you image how our lives would be impacted today if Mary aborted the baby Jesus from her womb.  It is an unthinkable thought.

Please review our brief article titled, Planned Parenthood Director Turns Pro-Life.  In this article you can gain a glimpse of how Abbie Johnson, Director of Planned Parenthood in Texas watched an ultrasound where the unborn baby tried to escape the cannula as it approached him in the womb.  A cannula is a hollow plastic tube that is connected to a vacuum-type pump by a flexible hose.  This equipment is used to first dislodge the unborn baby from his mother’s uterus where he is subsequently sucked into the tube – either whole or in pieces.  We’ve also included a video where Abbie Johnson, in her own words describes how Planned Parenthood deceived her as a Director of Planned Parenthood and how she in turn deceived other women. 

So let’s take a look at God’s exquisite design of life in a mother’s womb starting with the moment of conception to the moment of delivery covering the full 9 months.

God wants every baby to gain the same opportunity for life.  God views children as a blessing.

“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.
Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed,
But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.”
