When my son was about 5 years old, my husband and I and our son’s kindergarten teacher noticed that, many times, he wasn’t responding when specific instructions were given to him.  I happen to mention it to our family doctor and through tests she performed as well as tests given at an ENT’s office (Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor), our son was diagnosed with a mild to moderate hearing loss.  At that point in time, it was a financial hardship for us to purchase hearing aids so we started the process of looking for help through community means.

One Sunday after the morning church service we brought our son up to the altar for prayer.  Those present were myself, my son, my husband, and the pastor.  We told our pastor what was going on and then we laid hands on his ears and prayed a simple prayer for healing.  I didn’t think much of it at the time but when the funds became available to purchase the hearing aids, another test was required.  We went back to the same ENT doctor and the same test was performed.  There was NO hearing loss in either ear.  The doctor was amazed.  I told him that we had laid hands on him at church and prayed.  The doctor said, “Well that is the only explanation for him hearing now.”  Years later we were at that same office for something unrelated and I was telling the audiologist the story of our son’s healing.  She immediately said, “Let’s check him again to see”.  They did and the results showed he had NO hearing loss. 

Praise the Lord!  With God nothing is impossible!
