Would you vote for a proponent of slavery? Of course you would not but many people did centuries ago. Would you vote for a proponent of segregation? Of course you would not but many people did decades ago. Would you vote to oppress our nation’s native Indians? Of course you would not but sadly many people did hurt the native Indians by way of their vote. It wasn’t just the blind and ignorant who cast an unrighteous vote but Christians as well. The old cliche “history repeats itself” is sadly true. The citizens of our nation have not learned from either American history, world history, church history or scripture. Even in today’s churches we can find many Christians slaughtering the unborn by way of their vote. Life begins at conception and the unborn have civil rights which many Christians sadly ignore.
Deuteronomy 17:15 made it perfectly clear to the Hebrew nation that they were to choose only the king that their Lord had chosen for them. Since Christ is the fulfillment of the Law and prophets, this biblical command still stands and should be exercised accordingly by Christians every time they vote.
According to Deuteronomy 17:15 there was only “one” candidate for king and only “one” unison vote for the Hebrew nation. There should only be one vote for the entire Body of Christ. This is difficult for believers to understand because they don’t want God telling them how to vote. Christians neither pray that God would raise up righteous men and women to political office nor do they pray for the legislators currently in office per 1 Timothy 2:1-5. Clearly Deuteronomy 17:15 appears to be very idealistic but it does speak to our hearts to vote both righteously and of “one accord”.

Whether your are an American Christian who is Black, Asian, Hispanic or Caucasian you are to bring your vote to God. Our Heavenly Father doesn’t say to the Christian Caucasian to vote a certain way and then to the Christian Black to vote yet another way. As Peter stated, “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.” (Acts 10:34-35) God doesn’t waver on who He wants in office because He already knows the future of a nation. God also understands that unrighteous voting on a corporate level will take a nation into an unrighteous direction which will eventually make repeated assaults against His church. Therefore the entire Body of Christ in America should be voting for the same political candidate. Again this appears very idealistic but if Christians would pray for righteous candidates to emerge from God’s hand, financially support their campaigns, pray for them once they enter office and continually speak-up for justice on various issues – America would not currently be under God’s judgment for the shedding of innocent blood, homosexual marriage, sexual immorality as well as a multitude of other corporate sins. Doing Your Homework
God is neither a Democrat nor is He a Republican but He may have problems with certain political platform ideologies.
As a Christian – Do You Vote Emily’s List? If so, why? You come against the remnant church in America! Hillary Clinton is a supporter of Emily’s List. She has admitted that she would never commit abortion. She would never destroy her own flesh and blood but she will certainly take millions of campaign donations from Emily’s List to help others commit the act. The Democratic Platform is replete with progressive left abortionists. Its platform is pro-choice and it also comes against the House of God regarding traditional marriage as well. In 2012 the Democratic platform voted to remove the word “God” from its ideology. Shortly thereafter it withdrew this proposal.
The Republican’s platform is “pro-life” and “traditional marriage” but it too has legislators in the federal, state and local levels who are also abortionists and proponents of same-sex marriage. You must always do your homework. Many social conservatives are very lazy in doing their homework. They naively believe that every Republican is pro-life so they vote party lines without doing their homework. They too put abortionists into office. Social conservative women who work in Christian pregnancy centers have been seen placing bumper stickers on their cars supporting Republicans who are pro-choice. Pro-life Christians who stand outside the voting polls have been seen holding signs in support for pro-choice Republican candidates. When properly informed of the facts, they are embarrassed that they didn’t do their homework. This is because social conservatives believe every Republican is pro-life. This is not only naive but completely reckless.
Whether Democrat or Republican please remember that abortion has its roots in racism and eugenics. When you put an abortionist in office, you will receive legislation that sheds innocent blood. It’s that simple.
On other platform issues, does the Communist Party endorse your candidate? Does the Democratic Socialist Party endorse your candidate? What about the Nationalist Socialist Movement? Does NARAL or Planned Parenthood endorse your candidate? Does George Soros support your candidate? Christians are kingdom people who operate under His Government. “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6) It’s imperative to understand that as Christians we are to operate under a different set of guidelines and this includes the way we vote. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” So are you living in this world by way of your vote?
As we operate under kingdom principles, we do so as His ambassadors. We report to His Government despite the fact that we are living in an evil society here on earth. “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” (2 Co 5:20) Christ Jesus is using us to influence and to colonize his kingdom here on earth which is why we are called His ambassadors.
It is imperative that Christians not look to any government for the sole purpose of receiving something for free such as long-term welfare, phones or other material items. Your source of income is a direct blessing from God. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” (Matthew 6:33-34) Remember that God can furnish a table in the wilderness but the believer must walk in faith for this blessing. When we are seeking another source to provide for our needs, we are not seeking God’s righteous path. Back To Top
Historically: Democratic & Republican Platforms
Christians need to better understand the civic arena. If you are interested in understanding the historical platforms of both the Democratic and Republican parties – please consider purchasing “In Their Own Words” from Justice at the Gate. It’s an inexpensive brochure and very well written. Both Wallbuilders and Justice at the Gate worked together to provide this informative brochure which historically outlines each party’s position on slavery, segregation, abortion, home school education as well as other issues. Don’t be deceived. Know the facts and do your homework.
You can also contact a candidate’s office to find out where he stands on Christian issues before you vote. Google the internet for any campaign speeches made by both candidates. Typically you will find them making statements that clarify their positions one way or another. You can also go to their websites to better understand their positions.
God asks that you take your vote to Him. Don’t make any voting decisions unless you’ve completed your homework and taken your inquiry to God. There’s no excuse for any Christian putting an abortionist in office. Back To Top
When There’s No One to Support
When there are no righteous candidates running for office, and all are abortionists or proponents against traditional marriage, then the Christian believer should bend the knee and repent that conditions have reached this point. Some believers will still vote the lesser of two evils as if a little abortion is acceptable to God. Does God say “a little slavery, a tiny bit of segregation, a drop of innocent blood or an evening of immorality” is acceptable to Him? America is currently under God’s judgment and every believer should understand why God is removing His hedge of protection from our nation.
Only voters are responsible for allowing a platform of unrighteous candidates to succeed. No one else is to blame. “Surely God will never do wickedly, Nor will the Almighty pervert justice.” (Job 34:12) On one’s individual ballot there will typically be found some righteous candidate running for a specific office in which case the Body of Christ should support this candidate. If unrighteous candidates appear across all political parties for a specific political office – the Christian voter should refuse support for any of these candidates. Whenever a believer casts support for a pro-abortion or anti-traditional marriage candidate the voter is telling the party’s chairperson that these two social issues are not important. Eventually the political party will support only pro-abortion candidates because this is the message supported by voters. Abortion, however, will bring judgment upon a nation and the time of judgment may actually occur during your own child’s generation. “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isa 5:20)
Once a righteous man or woman is elected into office, the Body of Christ should be praying for their legislators. Even if an unrighteous candidate wins the election, the Body of Christ should still pray for his salvation in Christ Jesus. “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.” (I Tim 2:1-2) Back To Top
Who Carries the Responsibility?
Think about it. Does God put abortionists in office? No He does not. People put abortionists in office. Does God put unrighteous legislators into office which push an anti-church, anti-traditional marriage agenda? No people put the unrighteous into office. People legislated slavery and segregation by putting unrighteous men and women into office. “Does God subvert judgment? Or does the Almighty pervert justice?” (Job 8:3) In God’s mind – it’s a privilege to be able to vote but the casting of that vote is not an option. We should also realize that the privilege to vote has been won by someone else’s sacrifice of life or limb. Therefore, this privilege should not be taken lightly by anyone.
Are you a Christian before you are a Caucasian American? Are your credentials in Christ Jesus more important than your credentials as an Hispanic American or an Asian American? Is your identity in Christ Jesus more important than your identity as a Black American? At the voting bloc, do you place God’s holy agenda above your own personal agenda? Do you even have an agenda or do you, like most people, simply vote party lines without even understanding the issues?
So I speak to Christians now. Do you vote to burn and slaughter the unborn in the womb? Is your voting ballot saturated with the blood of the innocent which cries up to God for vengeance? Do you not realize that the shedding of innocent blood is an abhorrent act in God’s eyes? Indeed it is an abomination to Him. “These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren” (Prov 6:16-19). America has not learned anything from history and the church needs to repent.
It is astonishing to see one Christian praying humbly outside an abortion clinic with the purpose of saving an unborn baby as well as sparing a mother a lifetime of regret while another Christian votes for a pro-abortion political candidate who will legislate to slaughter the unborn. This is indeed grievous to the Lord because it clearly represents a “house divided against itself”. Does God put abortionists in office or do people? Did God legislate and sanction slavery or did people. Did it ever enter God’s mind to allow segregation? Yet millions of Christians today slaughter the unborn with their voting ballot and they will oftentimes say and do anything to justify their decision. Back To Top
People will often say, “Well there are other issues to consider besides just abortion”. Yes this is true but many of these other issues will not necessarily bring God’s judgment against a nation. Many of these other issues are a result of God’s judgment upon a nation. How can you undo what is a result of God’s judgment upon a nation? When you have a pro-life President or a local pro-life legislator in office you must of necessity pray for his direction. Your prayers may be the only tool that snatches him from the fire of a poor decision. Per Timothy 2:1-4 “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.” Regretfully, many Christians are disobedient in this respect and will not pray for their legislators and oftentimes don’t even know who they are.
When other righteous bills emerge which are unrelated to either pro-life or traditional marriage platforms Christians should contact their legislators and urge them to support these other measures. “Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy.” (Pro 31:9) Christians should be sufficiently well versed on proposed bills to the point where they are able to edify their own legislators on these subject matters. It is the Supreme Court that sanctioned slavery and segregation as well as the oppression of the Indian nations in America and it currently sanctions abortion. Justices of the Supreme Court are nominated 
by the President. The US Senate then votes to confirm or reject the President’s nomination for the Supreme Court. Justices also have a life tenure once appointed. If the President is pro-abortion then he will select a Justice who is also pro-abortion. With a life tenure, a justice’s pro-abortion attitude will remain in the Supreme Court for a very long time. Therefore whenever a Christian votes for an unrighteous president, US Senator or Congressman – he/she is putting an unrighteous Justice of the Supreme Court into office. Clearly the history of the Supreme Court as a whole has not displayed a stellar track record on the social issues that are critical to our Lord Jesus nor have many Presidents, US Senators or Congressman and this is a reflection of the mindset of the majority of voters.
The President also appoints federal judges. These judges will have the same political ideology as the President. If the President of the United States believes in same-sex marriage and the right to slaughter the unborn in their mother’s womb then so will the federal judges he elects. Only the voters can be held responsible for placing unrighteous men and women into office. God is blameless.
Since human life, which inherently has the stamped image of God, begins at the moment of conception – any deliberate or callous removal of the unborn’s life at any stage would be considered murder. Although your unrighteous vote which favors an abortionist or pro-choice political candidate is not directly involved in the actual murder, it nevertheless promotes it from a legislative standpoint. Promoting unrighteous candidates who establish laws which “call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isa 5:20) is a very dangerous position for any nation. Unrighteous laws cause stumbling blocks for a nation’s people. It perpetuates the flow of innocent blood which calls up to God for vengeance because it cannot seek justice for itself. For the Christian who votes abortion – there is the shedding of innocent blood on your hands. You must repent. There is no excuse. “Although you say you do not see Him, Yet justice is before Him, and you must wait for Him.” (Job 35:14)
The Christian should be reasonably discerning and able to determine if the political candidate is a true Christian living under God’s grace or a lapel wearing Christian. We are to discern what a candidate professes not necessarily believe everything he says. We are to pray for Christians to run for office and we are to support them financially, operationally and by way of the vote. If you ask, God will give you the necessary discernment. You may not like God’s answer but His resolution will prove true. “The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way.” (Psa 25:9) God chooses candidates that are both pro-life and support traditional marriage because God is pro-life and He alone designed marriage between a man and woman. Yet millions of Christians put unrighteous men and women in office because they allow the enemy to blind them to the truth.
Let us remember God’s advice to Samuel when the people demanded he put a king over them. “But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the LORD. And the LORD said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.” (1 Sam 8:6-7) In other words, God was telling Samuel to give the people exactly what they wanted. However, God told Samuel to warn the people in advance of exactly what sufferings they would endure for their poor choice of a king.
When we cast an unrighteous vote we are both directly and indirectly rejecting God and His direction over our lives. Back To Top
Your unrighteous vote helps to establish unrighteous laws and your action becomes an accessory to millions of murderous acts against the unborn. Let’s look at the legal definition of “accessory to murder”. According to Legal-Info in an article titled, Crime Overview Aiding And Abetting, “there are three elements to most aiding and abetting charges against an individual. The first is that another person committed the crime. Second, the individual being charged had knowledge of the crime or the principals’ intent. Third, the individual provided some form of assistance to the principal. An accessory in legal terms is typically defined as a person who assists in the commission of a crime committed by another or others. In most cases, a person charged with aiding and abetting or accessory has knowledge of the crime either before or after its occurrence. A person who is aware of a crime before it occurs, and who gives some form of aid to those committing the crime, is known in legal terms as an “accessory before the fact.” He or she may assist through advice, actions, or monetary support. A person who is unaware of the crime before it takes place, but who helps in the aftermath of the crime, is referred to as an “accessory after the fact.” Punishments for accessories vary in different jurisdictions. Sometimes accessories have had lesser punishments than principals. Other times, accessories are considered to be principals. Common law traditionally considers an accessory just as guilty as the principal in a crime, and therefore subject to the same penalties.”
When a Christian knows that their favored candidate is pro-abortion then they have full knowledge in advance that this candidate will legislate to kill the unborn. If a Christian is unaware of the candidate’s position on life then he should exercise due diligence as soon as possible to determine that position prior to casting the vote. The person who consults or coerces a woman to abort becomes yet another accessory to the murder. A pastor who remains chronically silent at the pulpit regarding abortion is also an accessory to the murder. The person who abandons the pregnant mother in a time of need should she desire to carry the unborn child to term is also an accessory to the murder. The person who helps transport the pregnant mother to the abortion clinic becomes an accessory to the murder. The person who helps pay for the abortion whether before, during or after the abortion becomes an accessory as well. The pro-choice vote is an accessory to murder of the worst kind because it can take an entire nation into captivity and judgment. Back To Top
Sadly many Christian parents don’t fight for their children. Nehemiah warned the people to fight for their sons, their daughters and their homes. “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” Legislation is a battlefront which most Christians have forsaken without God’s permission. This territory should be regained despite the unrighteous bills that now rule over families and churches alike. Christians should also realize that both corporately and individually we have allowed this to take place by not being diligent in many matters including legislative local wall building.
Scheduling appointments with your legislator or his/her aide to discuss pending bills is a requirement that all Christians should be fulfilling. A believer can visit with his legislator as many times as needed during the year. Phone calls to voice one’s opinion on a certain bill are both expected and considered an acceptable method of letting your legislator know where you stand on specific issues. It doesn’t always have to be about the sanctity of life or marriage. It can be something entirely different.
A pro-life and pro-family “legislative ministry” should be established in every church across each district. The key ministry leader per church does not have to be the pastor nor does this ministry have to trespass the binding rules of the 501C3. The support will naturally come from the pews but meetings can be held outside the church. Each church in a district should have a committee leader. All committee leaders throughout the local district should meet at least once a month. Pastors don’t need to be involved but should inform their congregants of this ministry. All Christians should know what bills their legislators are sponsoring or co-sponsoring.
Meeting with your State Senator or House Representative can also take place in large scheduled meeting within the local district. This type of meeting should take place at least once a year. Significant prayer should be very active weeks before the meeting. This group meeting should have a high attendance with a fewer number scheduled to present topics of concern. Presentations should be given to the legislator in a neutral and safe environment. The press should not be present. A large room within a local hotel and one which can provide beverages, a microphone and facilities is the best choice. A table with chairs and a microphone should be situated at the head of the room. Presentations should be well planned in advance. The facilitator (a key leader from the pews) can help create the presentations but this person should not control everything that is presented to the legislator. All attendees should be well-mannered and respectful to the legislator even if there is disagreement on issues. Attendees should be able to ask their local representative questions that might concern them.
On a separate issue, all Christians should be speaking before their State House’s Hearing Committees and this action should be viewed as a privilege. Every voter has the opportunity to give his opinion on legislative bills. Christians should be speaking up both to support righteous bills as well as to stop evil bills from going any further. We should always speak-up on behalf of the unborn as well. “Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die.” (Pro 31:8) Pastors should be bringing their flocks to these Hearing Committees. Otherwise the key “legislative ministers” can advise the pews of when the Hearing Committees are scheduled. They can also coordinate transportation to the State House. Many of these bills target the unborn, children and the freedoms of the next generation. This is a viable way of protecting your children.
It is a very sad comment on the condition of the church when we rarely see any church leader at the State House speaking before the Hearing Committees on legislative issues that are dear to our Lord Jesus. The 501C3 doesn’t prevent any pastor from speaking up before a Committee as an individual voter. There’s no excuse. You need to repent. Back To Top
