Oath of God appreciates the ongoing and daily efforts of Rescue Christians to help believers in desperate as well as life threatening situations. Instead of just providing bibles and prayer, Rescue Christians actually provides safe houses, gives legal assistance, delivers food and supplies and carries out rescue missions which prevent persecuted Christians from being killed. They put their own lives in danger to save the lives of persecuted Christians.
Rescue Christians has recently built an alliance with the government of Spain to rescue an estimated 1,100 Iraqi orphans currently stationed in Turkey. Iberia Airlines has offered to transport the children free of charge to Spain. Once the children receive safe passage into Spain, Rescue Christians will become guardians over the orphans with the objective of adopting them into loving families. Some of these children may or may not be Christians.
Oath of God Ministries does support Rescue Christians and believes that this organization will continue to do a good work in Christ Jesus towards those who have no strength or voice. Rescue Christians is especially well known for its rescue missions of Pakistani Christians who work in the kiln factories.
We understand, however, why MinstryWatch at this time only has not fully endorsed this fledgling organization. Below is an excerpt from MininstryWatch’s review of Rescue Christians and we believe it to be a very fair assessment. MinstryWatch prefers to monitor the activities and successes of Rescue Christians before it can actually provide a full endorsement. Oath of God Ministries will also continue to monitor the activities of Rescue Christians but has determined to support this precious organization without reservation.
Rescue Christians is a new organization but we believe they have a steady and methodical strategy in helping Christians given the daily dangers imposed on their rescuers. We believe that Rescue Christian’s “hands-on” approach is worth a mild risk in helping out given both the value they bring to the persecuted Christian and the degree of persecution that is ongoing in the world. We hope you will agree.
“While hardly a ministry that is organized in a standard manner or operates in a way organizations like MinistryWatch.com would prefer, RescueChristians.org seems to be reaching out directly to persecuted Christians in Pakistan in very meaningful ways. The ministry has also apparently been endorsed by the Bishop of the Church of Pakistan, which is essentially the Anglican Church in Pakistan, who has commended the organization for their provision of legal aid, safe houses, medicines and escape routes for those being persecuted. While some donors may not be comfortable with the ministry due to its small size, aggressiveness, and controversial ties others will be attracted to its hands-on work in very difficult circumstances. MinistryWatch.com cannot endorse this ministry, but we would encourage donors not to overlook it either. We hope RescueChristians.org will be able to continue its good works on behalf of persecuted Christians and can simultaneously mature into an organization that gains the respect of many. Time will tell.” (MinistryWatch.com)
